Hi, I'm Birgit.

I'm a technical writer and information architect based in Hamburg, Germany.

I studied International Technical Communication, where I discovered my love for technical documentation. After several years gaining diverse experience across different companies and industries, I lost my heart in the software development craft.

I'm passionate about helping technology speak clearly. I love helping users find what they need. Clear content structures, intuitive navigation, and information that actually supports people in their work drive everything I do - making work more efficient by ensuring information truly serves its purpose.

Personality in action.

I approach challenges with curiosity, enthusiasm, and a strong can-do attitude.  I connect content conceptually and organize information so that it works — for humans and for AI. My thinking is pragmatic, solution-oriented, and guided by a genuine passion for the craft and a sense of enjoyment in the work.

Experience in action.

I advocate for documentation and information architecture as strategic assets — integral to sustainable products, not an afterthought. Much of my work happens between disciplines. I bridge gaps between technology, product, and users by translating technical complexity into clear, usable information.

Making an impact.

I turn complex information into actionable knowledge by structuring content so users can find what they need quickly and with confidence.

I share insights and good practices within the field of technical communication by speaking at conferences and engaging in professional exchange.
